For those striving for a career as an orchestral musician, acquiring the skills to win an audition is the key to success. The rigorous physical and mental preparation required is often a challenge even for professional musicians. In this workshop, active participants have the opportunity to perform one or more orchestral excerpts in the setting of a mock audition and will receive personalized tips and guidance from the guest speaker to be able to ace their next audition. Passive participation is also possible.

About the speaker

Adriana Ferreira

Adriana Ferreira is Principal Flutist of the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, and was previously Associate Principal Flutist of the Orchestre National de France in Paris and Principal Flutist of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.
She was awarded 3rd prize at the Kobe International Competition in Japan and then won first prize at the Severino Gazzelloni Competition in Italy. She was joint top prize winner of the Geneva International Competition, where she was also she was also honoured by the “Coup de Cœur Breguet” Special Prize.
